CELEBRATING OUR 179th YEAR IN 2012

First Baptist Church has maintained a continual evangelical Baptist witness in Wheeling, WV since 1833. The present  Church building, dedicated in 1960, consists of five floor levels, all easily accessible by our state of the art elevator system, opening on each floor to lobbies, three of which are flooded with natural light from the outdoors.  The Church is situated along historic National Road in picturesque Wheeling.  Surrounded by the beauty of renown parks and the Ohio River, our community is rich in tradition and resources.  At First Baptist, we continue to uphold our religious tradition through a solid Bible based scriptural doctrine offering Worship services, Bible studies, Sunday school classes, many Youth Programs, including AWANA, and special events for all ages. This Church is affiliated with the Panhandle Baptist Association and the West Virginia Baptist Convention.
